Boston .NET Architecture Group
I’ll be speaking this Wednesday (Jan 15th) at 6pm at the Boston .NET Architecture Group. The topic will be “Securing Web API with OAuth2” and here’s the outline:
Traditional enterprise security protocols (such as Kerberos, SAML2 and WS-*) weren’t designed for the modern age of mobile and web applications. There are new suite of protocols and technologies that are designed for this modern age. In this very informal presentation, we will be speaking about these newer technologies such as OAuth2 and JSON web tokens and their approach for securing applications. As part of this discussion we will also look at Thinktecture AuthorizationServer, which is an open-source, full-fledged OAuth2 authorization server which can be used to issue tokens for securing your APIs.
Hope to see you there.
Any chance on getting this session recorded? I’d _LOVE_ to see it, but can’t fly to boston to attend.
No idea — I can ask.
Sorry Chris — no recording. But my colleague Dominick has a recording which is far better than what I would have done. HTH
